The NIBCO® ductile iron butterfly valve features a unique molded-in FKM fluoroelastomer seat with stainless steel disc, recommended for chemical applications the liner compatibility will permit. With the internal stem/disc geometric drive design there is no need for pins or bolts that may create leak paths or turbulence in the waterway. An extended neck allows for insulation up to 2 inches. NIBCO engineers have redesigned the top works of the valve to make it easier to install and service. The stem is triple sealed with double O-rings and PTFE packing. The easily accessible, large pack nut can be tightened without removing the handle or using a special wrench. This also allows for the packing to be replaced and serviced.
